So whats happening???

Hello to everyone,
Here's an update as to whats been unfolding here at Will Work for food:
The Space has been cleared of the pile of debris, and we have rolled out a layer of primer on the wall. It's a very good start in regards to the work that needs to be done in preparation for the show. I will add a list of things that are still to come later. Thank you to everyone who contributed thus far. It's amazing to see how much you can we accomplish in such a short time when everybodies working together. For me, that's what this is really about.
We purchased Insurance for the event and we have been figuring out legal issues in regards to Beer and wine sale, etc. This has been a learning experience for me, but we'll work it out. Thank you Anne, Garth, Suzy and others who have helped and will help with this part of the show.
It had been talked about in some of our first meetings that we would feature bands on Sat. the 17th. However, at this point we are reconsidering having live music mostly because it escalulates the event to more of a "party" status. From the begining this has been an event with the primary interest of highlighting the artistic voice of the participants, and I want the event to leave a lasting impression on each viewer that passes through the door. With that being said, the event will be Dj'd, and we will post the name's of those people very soon..
Sponsors, SPONSOR's, SPONSORS! We are looking for sponsors. We've thrown out our nets and will be pulling them in by the end of the week. People have definitely shown interest and were just trying to tie up loose ends.

What's next? I would like to line up some dates in Feb. to:
A) fix walls, and paint final coat (maybe the weekend of 9th, 10th,11th?)
B) Work out all lighting and electrical stuff. We will be needing clamp lights to illuminate the space. Everybody has some, and if we could use them for the week it would be awesome! Also, for area's not lit by the clamp lights I think christmas lights strung up would look really good.
C) If we could all Meet at the space(2934 Lyndale) the last weekend in February, 2 weeks before the show, to make any last minute adjustments, and just so everyone can shake hands be all like, "hey cool, your artworks awesome, cheers lets go get a beer...."
D) Keep an eye out for couches and stuff we can bring in to furnish the front area.
If you have any questions, get at me. Im beeming with pride to have the oppurtunity to work with all of you.

Until next time, Dreww
